Some New Things Happening at Allison Barnes Collection!

Hey ABC fans!  Long time no post. :)  I've been busy working on crocheting for custom orders, trying out some new free patterns I've found online, as well as trying to find some time to sew clutch purses again.

New year = new priorities

I'm so excited for the 2013 edition of the Bridal Fantasy magazine to drop - why?  My clutches will be a feature product!  A product shoot was done back in November 2012 and the magazine drops January 15th!  If you're heading to one of the Bridal Fantasy shows in Edmonton or Calgary this year or doing any shopping (or suit rentals) at Derk's Formals don't forget to pick up your own issue of Bridal Fantasy magazine to check out my clutches!  More info about Bridal Fantasy HERE

I also have a few clutches in a retail location on a trial basis until the end of February, so we'll see how that goes!  If you ever get a chance to check out Rutherford House on the University of Alberta campus it's worth a look - a beautifully restored historical site that offers a High Tea dinner in a delightful setting.  The "Whatnot Gift Shoppe" located on the lower level is where you will find my clutches as well as other locally hand-crafted items for sale.

Other news?  I've recently become involved in a collaborative Ready-to-ship sale group on Facebook.  We have 10 members at the moment, each bringing their creative energies to create awesome products for photographers!  Props such as crocheted or knit hats, crowns, halos, blankets, neckties, bowties and suspender sets, diaper covers (and maybe a clutch purse or two) will be available for sale every week running from Sunday at 9pm EST to the following Tuesday morning.  Sales are hosted by RoseMarie Photography & Props every week.  First come first served so make sure to mark your calendars and set your alarms because many of these items are one-of-a-kind!

I hope to see you there!
-Allison

Spring 2014 Clutches (April/May/June)

Well aren't I the slacker. My desire to share my creations with you through this blog of mine has taken a back seat as of late as I work through your custom orders! And now I have even more work ahead of me as I prepare for my first REAL trade show in November. On top of my custom orders I am also working on having lots of stock ready for the show. If you are in the Edmonton area you will definitely want to check out the Santa's Little Helpers Christmas Shopping Extravaganza which is being held at the River Cree Casino on November 30th, 2014. For more information you can visit their Facebook page (link here) to be updated as the event draws near. Here are the custom clutches I have completed this past Spring 2014. As you can see you all have kept me very busy - thank-you! If there is someone you know who you think might enjoy seeing my necktie clutches please forward my blog link to them. They and you can also sign up for my monthly newsletter where I feature NEW neckties that …
